Question;

What about security for the cars on Friday night? Is there a special area just for the participants?

thanks and looks like a great time

Yes, the hotel has 24/7 parking lot security. While there isn't set aside parking for overnight, I would suggest the lot behind the hotel. Out of sight from the main road and monitored by security.

There will also be a secure area available for luggage and bags for those staying at the hotel who need to check out on Saturday morning but who are not going to leave until after the show.

Sugar and I will attend, at least you have my money. I imagined the drive up Mt. Scott will be much shorter than my days in 1955. We took quite a bit of the top off.
Looking forward to seeing ya'll.

What are you doing on October 16 and 17? Looks like a couple of perfect days for a sunset cruise and Corvette show, doesn't it!

Be sure to registered before the October 7 deadline (BBQ dinner buffet deadline and show price increase). You can still register for the show after October 7, but registration increase to $25 after that date. The Apache Casino Hotel still has a few rooms available at a show rate of $129 (regular rate is $169).

Over 40 awards will be given away at the show along with $2,000 in casino free play! AND, stay tuned for an exciting announcement that we will likely be making next week!

The Silent Auction has garnered national support with donations of Corvette items from several nationally known vendors. We already have over $2,500 in Silent Auction items, including:
- NoviStretch Mask and Mirror Covers for C5, C6, C7, or 5th Gen Camaro ($208 retail value)
- Airbrush Inc. C7 Jake Emblem Engine Fluid Cap Set ($300 retail value)
- RPI Indoor Color Stretch Corvette Cover for C5, C6, C7 ($215 retail value)
- UPR Products Single Valve Catch Can for C7 in Satin, Polished, or Black ($220 retail value)
- UPR Products Dual Valve Catch Can for C7 in Satin, Polished, or Black ($380 retail value)
- Dr. Colorchip Paint Chip Repair Kit ($68 retail value)
- XPEL Car Wash Bucket Stool Kit ($95 retail value)
- National Corvette Museum Individual Membership ($50 value)
- West Coast Corvettes $50 Gift Certificate
- Pro Tech Window Tint ($99 retail value)
- Pro Tech Excalibur Keyless Entry and Remote Start ($55 retail value)
- Many other gift cards and items!

Don't forget, proceeds from the show will be going to Operation Homefront, a national organization that provides support to our military families!

And finally, check out some of the places we have Corvettes already registered from: TEXAS - Sweetwater, Abilene, Wichita Falls, Coppell, Iowa Park, and the DFW area. OKLAHOMA - Weatherford, Edmond, Mustang, Cache, Guthrie, Tuttle, Lawton, and the OKC area.

It's going to be a great Corvette weekend! Don't miss it!

The SWOCC All Corvette Show is just one week away! The weather is setting up to be absolutely wonderful for us. We have awesome trophies and over $3,000 in cash and free play prizes to award to show participants and winners. The silent auction has over $3,000 in retail items to be auctioned off. Operation Homefront will be on site with volunteers to help us as we raise money for this fabulous non-profit organization that helps take care of military families across the United States.

Show registration is now $25 per car. You can still register for the show at http://swoccshow.eventbrite.com (through 10:00 p.m. on October 15) OR at the show Saturday morning (registration begins at 9:00 a.m.).

As long as the Apache Casino Hotel has rooms, the SWOCC Corvette Show rate is $129 (savings of $40 over their website rate). Ask for the SWOCC show rate for the discount.

It's going to be a great day of Corvette fun and I hope to see as many of you there as possible!

SWOCC SUNSET CRUISE & CORVETTE SHOW - FINAL DETAILS

We're excited and ready for an awesome Corvette weekend! There are several graphics attached that should prove helpful as you plan your weekend with us. Take a minute to look at the attached graphics and to read through this post for more helpful information.

WEATHER

Lawton's Friday Forecast includes a 20 percent chance of showers before 1:00 p.m. followed by a beautiful partly sunny day with a high near 72. Friday will be windy, with a northeast wind of 17 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 36 mph. Skies ought to be mostly clear by sunset, but the wind at the top of Mt. Scott will be strong, so be sure to dress appropriately for the cooler wind chill there.

The Friday night forecast is for partly cloudy skies with a low around 47 and northeast winds 7 to 13 mph.

Saturday morning will start off a little chilly, but with mostly sunny skies and a forecast high near 77, you'll enjoy the beautiful fall day once the sun starts to warm things up a little. Saturday winds should be east northeast 7 to 11 mph becoming south southeast in the afternoon.

SUNSET CRUISE STAGING & SHOW REGISTRATION/PARKING

Be sure to take a look at the maps that have been attached to this post. Everything you need to know about staging and parking is on the maps.

FRIDAY NIGHT BBQ DINNER LOCATION

The BBQ dinner will take place in the banquet room at the Apache Casino Hotel. This room is almost directly across from the main hotel entrance. Please check in at the registration table as you enter the banquet room.

CAR WASH

While there are several area car washes that you can use if you need to wash the bugs off when you arrive in Lawton, the Apache Casino Hotel will have a hose with a nozzle attached available in the parking area behind the hotel. Bring your own wash supplies if you want to hand wash your Corvette at the hotel.

SATURDAY MEALS

The Apache Casino Hotel is offering a show discount on their Saturday morning breakfast buffet. The normal price is $9.99, but for show participants the price will be $7.99. The breakfast buffet is served from 7:00 to 11:00 a.m.

The Apache Casino Hotel is providing a food vendor in the parking lot for lunch during the show. There are also lunch options inside the casino and across the street. Bottled water will be available in the show area for $1.

SATURDAY MORNING SHOW REGISTRATION

Remember, registration begins at 9:00 a.m. and closes at 11:00 a.m. Since the sun doesn't come up until 7:30 a.m., please be patient if you arrive earlier than 9:00 a.m. Once the registration area is ready, we will begin parking everyone. If you have not already filled out a registration form, you can help expedite registration by filling one out before arriving. If you can't do that, it is not a problem. We will have registration forms available Saturday morning.

RAFFLE, 50/50, & PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARDS

Show proceeds will benefit Operation Homefront, so every ticket you buy is going to help meet the needs of military families. Operation Homefront will be on hand to sell tickets and to help with the People's Choice Awards. Each registrant will receive a Donation Cup to be used to collect money during the show for Operation Homefront. Cups need to be turned in at 1:00 p.m. The car collecting the most money will win the People's Choice Award.

SILENT AUCTION ITEMS

Check out the attached Silent Auction list. Remember, the silent auction bidding will close at 1:00 p.m., so get your bids in before it's too late.

I second that. I know what hard work it takes to put on a show and it's double that when it is your 1st Show... Well done... Also, the Apache Casino did a great job and seemed to appreciate us being there...
