Default WTB Someone to do Z06 Muffler Mod in North Dallas area

I already took the mufflers off the car, only to find out that several shops won't do this for some stupid reason or another (metal is too thin? lolok). I'd be willing to pay $150 to do it (clamp or weld method), OR I can do everything but weld it back together and pay you $50 to weld it up real quick. I'm kinda desperate at this point, because it was too much of a pain in the *** to take off for me to put them back on unmodified. Thanks!

If you were in Houston Id help. I want to do it to mine but it seems more of a hassle to take the exhaust off. I got a tig welder that I weld thin stuff with so that would not be a problem.

If you are handy with a torch you could just braze it.

Ask Craig on Craigslist in DFW. Most muffler shops just light up and burn the **** out of exhaust setups or do it wrong in general like not purging on ss.

c5 z06?... if so, the reason they won't do it is because it's titanium... you might contact LG and see if they know anyone that can do it, or search around for an aircraft welder

Not sure if there is a c5 muffler mod? Titanium is just as easy to weld if doing tig.

The mod was popular a few years ago on C5 Z06 Ti mufflers. It consisted of cutting open the top of the shell and replacing the perforated tubes with solid ones to increase the sound. There was a shop in Houston that did it.
