Default Brand of Cam

Does anyone here in the DFW area know what brand of cam twenty first century (21CMC) uses?

if I had to guess I would say comp, most places use them... companies may have their own special name for their cam but they just send the specs over to comp and have it cut for them

I've read several threads today and found a few videos that sound like my whistling sound on the ole internet today regarding comp cam whine that has me a bit concerned. If that is what it is then surely they'll make it right.

hmmm that's interesting, was there a conclusion as to what was causing the whine?... I have a comp cam in mine but it does not whine like that... maybe it has something to do with the lobe design, how they are cut, or could be a quality control issue perhaps?... I've never heard of that before so I'm curious

I have the 21st cmc600 cam and don't hear that sound at all. Call Jon or Matt at 21st and im sure they will tell you what brand of cams they use. I believe they are comp cams, but I could be wrong.

I gathered most of the info from the ls1tech site. Seems to be something from a year ago, comp changed their polishing technique, and quieted it down and Comp warrantied several. I was curious if I got an old one laying on their shelf.
