#}+€¥ Texas Inspection Sticker Removal Clean Up
I am so glad Texas finally went to the one sticker system this year. Today I removed the two old stickers (registration and inspection) and what a PITA it was to remove their sticky residue. Not so much for the old registration sticker as it was higher on the windshield but the old inspection sticker was installed on the very lower left area of the windshield. It was bad enough scrapping it off but trying to remove all its remaing glue residue was a major task due to the severe angle of the Corvette glass/dash. But, using a stiff metal ruler stuck inside a WD40 saturated cloth finally did the deed and after many repeated swipes with a windex saturated cloth the windshield finally looked nice again.
I know, just venting, but I feel better now! Good luck getting yours cleaned up.

I agree Roy, they're supposed to be water soluble, but it takes a razor blade and something like WD-40 to get rid of the sticky stuff. Then you have to use glass cleaner to remove the WD-40. In all a real PITA.

First, I used a bit of Goo-Gone on a paper towel to remove the sticker residue. I think it's basically orange oil, but it works wonders.

Then, I used Rain-X glass cleaner to get rid of the oily residue left by the Goo Gone.

Total time was 10-15 minutes and I stuck the new single sticker on and had a beer. That Rain-X glass cleaner is the best stuff for cleaning glass that I've ever found. I've used it on flat screen TVs, car windows, and computer screens - it's absolutely the best. Toss out the Windex - this stuff puts it to shame. Both products are at many auto parts stores or you can order online. Hope that helps!

Question: If you have a new (october) registration and a inspection sticker that will expire in November, is it OK to go ahead and remove it?
Thanks in advance
