With this weekend being the Vintage Racing Championships, I was wondering what conditions were like after all the rain and flooding that occurred in the Austin area. Can any locals provide some insight? Thanks.

We have had some great weather the last few days. The ground is quite saturated though.1"-2" rain is forecast for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

not much rain at all, the weather guys missed it again (thankfully)

BUT the facilities took a beating from last couple of weeks

one tunnel closed due to collapsed wall

other one has water mark at least 8' up the wall

on Wed, the Media Center was trashed

army of guys working on it, no carpet, no electric, no furniture

by Sat afternoon, it was rebuilt

garages got flooded too

drywall up to about 18" being replaced everywhere

another army of guys with shovels and steam cleaners working everywhere

COTA spent a fortune to get the facility back up and running
