San Antonio vets?

I have a c6 and I've gone through 2 aftermarket exhausts in the past few months. I want to hear the npps before I try that route. The exhausts are just collecting dust now. The corvette market here isn't very big.

I'm here in San Antonio - I'm driving to Austin tomorrow morning to buy some NPP mufflers from a forum member.
Any local San Antonio folks know of a place that lets you borrow a lift?
Or perhaps anyone have advice for me as I try to change the mufflers on jack stands (I don't want to die! )
(gotta drop sway bar out of the way I suppose, and remove the factory mid pipe too right?)

Yeah, I searched - pretty confident I can do it. Jack stands just make me nervous regarding stability. Perhaps I need better jack stands. Or, a combination of ramps and jack stands for safety.

Funny you should mention that. I'm actually taking off my npps in my garage rightnow. I'm going to sell them cheap since its just the mufflers them selves. Not the pipe with it. So who over buys them will need to take it to a shop and weld them into their original pipe. Anyhow, I've swapped out my exhaust several times already with ramps in the rear and a block on the front wheels. Jack stand just for safety.

Oh, ok, cool! So you used front wheel blocks to prevent rolling and jacked up the rear but had redundant support in the rear (jack stands + ramps under the wheels). Cool. Since I will probably have to drop the midpipe, I assume, to get the mufflers off of the car with the attached axle-back pipes, I feel like I would have to lift the front too, but maybe not....

Just thought I'd throw it out there. I have 2012 npp mufflers for $275. Just the mufflers; no leading pipe. Just enough to weld your existing on it.

Thanks man - I ended up buying some locally from forum member Chomper in Austin. I installed them, and they're neat! Soon I will have all the parts in for a custom "NPP in a box" system I'm making.... decided to design my own with a vacuum pump to avoid using engine vacuum (to avoid chasing an engine vacuum leak in the future).
