We are working to update the website and yes it will be done prior to the registration start. We are also working on mementos for this being the FINAL event.

We have heard some bad things going on with the WWP. Is everything OK?

Ans: This is complicated, Yes, the WWP will continue on and continues to aid and empower wounded Veterans and their families. They had a few individuals that made some bad choices and created some turmoil. That has been rectified and we MUST continue to push forward by doing our best to show our support of our Veterans.

Hey Jim if it's changed this year the previous events you filled the registration out and mailed it in. I'm assuming we will have to do the same this year.

Tonight is the night... Vettes and Jets goes live for open registration at 12 midnight CST tonight. Please print, fill out and sign your form and mail in along with payment (check or money order) to the address on the registration form. There will be someone there to sign for any packages that are needed for signature Monday thru Saturday. Everyone's package and mail goes through our private mail box address. We are truly sorry that this seems "old school" but due to the uniqueness of our event it is a necessity. We will process registrations daily and get them posted to the website as quickly as possible. Thank you all for your support and understanding!

Registration sent. Called hotels and the Raddison and Quality Inn are both full. Has anyone stayed at the Sea Shell Inn next door to the Quality Inn on the beach? It does not look too bad for a discount motel.

A few people did last year but I'm not sure who they were. We also added the Omni Beach Hotel but you will have to rely on the V&J shuttle or a taxi to take you to and from the Lexington as it is on the other side of the bridge.

So there will be a V&J shuttle running from the Omni? How frequent and what hours?

Yes, we finally cleared negotiations with the Omni. They will assist, but it is primarily our responsibility to provide the shuttle. We are planning to run it like last event every hour going to and from the Lexington only from Saturday morning (5am) until Saturday night (1030PM) and again on Sunday from (830am until 5pm).
We will do our best to keep the shuttle flowing as fast as possible.

I was able to book a free room at the Marriott using rewards points. If I am not staying walking distance from the Lex and evening programs, I need transportation. so will plan to trailer the vette down or the wife can follow if I can convince her to come.

Will you folks let us know when you receive the registration and we are secured a spot?

Yes, You will need to call there to get the Vettes and Jets event room block rates. The info is listed on our website under the hotels tab
