Tint by Mingo at Suncap - any pics of his work?
Hey folks,
I've read that Mingo is the guy to see for window tinting in Texas. I've been holding off on getting my car done until I had the chance to get down there, but now I'm growing a bit impatient and need some convincing!
The biggest concern that I have is on the black dots. (There are typically air bubbles) I've heard that he does a great job turning them nearly invisible, but would love to see some proof!
Do any of you have any close up pics of Mingo's work on the dotted area on your rear hatch?
Thanks!

Thanks for the good remarks!
I'm really just wanting to know what the dot areas look like... anyone still have the car they got tinted, and an iPhone?

Mingo is da man. Did both my Grandsports.
Pay the extra $ for ceramic tint, makes all the difference on interior temps.

Thanks for the pics!
No doubt that the tint job was done well! I've previously heard of shops lightly sanding the dots (and area) so that the tint sticks better and makes them virtually disappear....
Since the dots are still pronounced, it looks like Mingo doesn't do that, but at least there aren't large air bubbles in the space in between dots.
I was hoping it would look more like this... (see top of hatch - Pic taken from another thread)

Mine looks just like RC4G's. I have the ceramic as well. To totally cover the dots it would have to be covered with vinyl or similar. Mingo did not recommend that. He came highly recommended so I let him do what he does.

I had no intention of allowing another tinter to sand the dot matrix down or lose visibility by covering the matrix up with black vinyl.
Mingo is the man when it comes to Corvette back glass and he stands behind his work 100%
