Then why are you crying about it? If you don't have a front plate just pay the ticket and be done. You don't have to start another thread on the same topic complaining about it. Its the price you pay for breaking the law. I dont have a front plate and if i ever get a ticket ill pay it, I wont start a thread complaining about how i got a ticket for breaking the law, no matter how stupid the law is.
Last time I checked this was a Corvette forum where members are encouraged to post about their experiences with their cars.
I must have missed the official notification where you were appointed content police to decide who and what is acceptable to post.
How about you not worry about when/what other folks post and just move on to the next one if you don't approve of the subject matter?

I got a ticket near that area in a speed trap little town called Marlin. Anyone going through there beware the cop loves hiding out under the big oak trees! I got a speeding ticket going 53 in a 40. I truthfully thought I was in a 50mph zone....$265 later I'm on differed judification. The kicker is I was in our Toyota Camry.

FWIW, both my Grandsports were purchased pre-owned and were not originally delivered with OEM front license plate brackets.
We drive both cars with the front plate stashed in the rear cubby for if/when we ever get questioned by LEO about no front plate. I have never been stopped solely for not having a front plate, if the LEO wants to have a conversation there is always another reason for the stop (expired inspection sticker, no signal for a lane change etc).
We have yet to be ticketed for no front plate in either Grandsport. If it happens then I will avail myself to the legal process to fight the ticket.

Wow, I consider myself lucky! My DPS officer wrote a warning...In fact, the last time I was pulled over by DPS was pushing 1 AM, blasting through Sugarland on 59, and he wrote me a warning!!!! Makes you wonder if the CHL helped.

Years ago I got a ticket for 60 in a 55 outside of Calvert (a few miles south of Marlin). Didn't slow down fast enough. Speed limit changes a couple of miles outside of town in the middle of nowhere. Long before you get to any part of the town.
Called the number on the ticket to see about deferred adjudication, and the phone was answered by someone saying "Calvert Propane." That person knew all the details when I gave my name. Whole deal was to get a check in the mail.
I go through there a couple of times a year. Think I would ever spend any money in that town? No way. I'll never stop there for gas or a burger.

You are the one that keeps trying to put words in my mouth that were not spoken. As for my going to court to fight it, that is my right to due process and I have every intention to use it.

Many of those little towns on Hwy 6 between Waco and College Station must rely on that kind of revenue.

OP- good luck w/ your day in court. Keep us informed.
Other guy - this isn't a waste of time, it's entertainment. When we have something more important to do, we're doing it, right?

We get it, you are butt-hurt because the guy wishes to avail himself of the legal process to fight and/or negotiate the outcome of a ticket.
Once again, if this thread's content is not to your liking then you don't have to read this thread. Move on already.

Dismissed
So this morning I walk into the JP's office when it opens at 9:00 am. to ask for an assigned court date so I can plead my case. Just as the clerk is about to do so, the judge walks in. "Is that your Corvette ? Yes sir." I respond. Turns out he has owned a C2 and a C4. He is not impressed with the no front plate statue either and considers it a waste of the courts time ! I have no doubt the trooper that wrote the citation will get an ear full if he ever has to appear in that judges court.
