Default Dallas Corvette Buyers DO NOT Buy This Car!!!

http://www.macchurchillautomall.com/...6e87309cea.htm

Buyers beware! This is a scam. The car has 7+ previous owners and when I went to look at it the car was not as advertised. The car smelled heavily of a previous smoker and they tried to cover it up, also the car seemed as though it had been tampered with. The dealership lied to us and then they held our trade in hostage. We said we were done and leaving we need our keys, instead of giving us the keys they held on to them for 10 more minutes and then came back with a manager, we said give us our keys, 10 minutes later he comes back with the financing manager, finally my wife said give us the damn keys were done we're leaving, and the financing manager started talking **** to us. So finally after asking for the keys for 30 minutes, we got our keys back. They ended up parking the car across the lot and we ended up having to look around the dealership in the pouring rain.

So moral of the story is don't buy this car and most of avoid this dealership at all cost!!!

Call the police. A local dealership here was doing the same thing. Police showed up and the keys were returned quickly. Not long after that the dealership changed hands.

I told him I said do I need to get someone else involved or are you going to hand me MY keys over! They were pissed off because I didn't fall for their scam of a car.

MacChurchill is a phucking scam. Dont ever buy a car from them. Had a very similar experience.

WOW, I guess I dodged a bullet...

This past spring I was in the market and found they have an '08 pace car without decals for a decent price. I called them and talked to them about it, set up an appointment but something came up so I cancelled. The next day their internet price rose $4k. A week or so later I tried calling them back but the receptionist that took my name & number most likely didn't, I could hear her stapling something.

Thanks to them I found a '12 with less miles and a lower price and I noticed they still have the car.

Definitely not an isolated incident. I had something nearly identical happen to me several years ago at MacChurchill. It's a high pressure scumbag sales tactic!

This was common practice in the 1980's.

You're in OKC, do you remember Lynn Hickey Dodge on the north side (not there anymore) and how people made t shirts saying "I escaped from Lynn Hickey Dodge"?...they were famous for holding keys hostage...I went there in the mid 90's looking for a Dodge diesel and while we were test driving, they took my truck to a service bay and kept the keys until we went inside and sat in the little cubicle. I wanted my keys back, but it took a good 1/2 hr. to get them, and they were rude also. They had those spikes in the driveway coming in so you HAD to go out the only escape route driveway and stop at the "check out building".

Holding your keys is theft, I would have given the guy a black eye for sure.. A good *** whipping is what the salesperson should have received. In Texas under the Castle law you have the right to defend your property at the thieves expense.. With the open carry law in effect, some salesperson will get shot.. Its not if, but its when... messing with the wrong person at the wrong time
