Nebraska's 5 year home wins streak. Just wish UT would have taken care of business with OU and they would be a shoe in for the national title.

When will the guys at CF get wise. We need a Texas section and a Texas offtopic section. :D

Re: [Texas] Longhorns Win (rschiltz)
the media is so ridiculous; the only "BIG" games the 'Horns play in are the ones they lose.
I don't see many "experts" coming to Simms and Mack Browns' defense after they beat KSU (in Manhatten), beat Wallace and Iowa St, and then go into Lincoln and beat Nebraska (Simms over 400 yds passing).
and btw...Trev Alberts is the biggest meat-head of an analyst I've ever read/seen. He stated last week on espn.com "Texas is the most overrated #7 team in college football history and will lose to Nebraska..."
How's that crow taste Trev???

Had the pass been about 3 feet to the left, I would be posting in place of you.
Good game.
It would have been more fun for the underdog to win, and they damn near did it. But in the end the better team lucked out :D

FYI:
Source: http://www.sportsline.com/collegefoo...20021102_TX@NE
Roy Williams caught 13 of Simms' passes for 161 yards as the Longhorns (8-1, 4-1 Big 12) handed the Cornhuskers (7-3, 3-2) just their second home loss since Oct. 31, 1991.
The last loss was on Oct. 31, 1998, when the Longhorns came into Lincoln and won 20-16, snapping Nebraska's school-record streak of 47 consecutive victories at Memorial Stadium. Since that defeat, the Huskers had won their next 26 at home.
Until Saturday, Nebraska had won 74 of its previous 75 home games. Texas, led by coach Mack Brown, is the only team to win at Memorial in all that time.
"For a football team to come in here twice in the last 75 games and be the only football team to win, that's just phenomenal," Brown said. "I've never been prouder of a group than I have been tonight."

Too bad about the Cowboys and Texans. The Texan game was like Baylor blowing out UT
