Default FS test 4 99

1999 Corvette convertible. Prize winning show car for sale in Orange County, California.

COME SEE THIS CAR AT THE "CRUISIN' FOR A CURE" CAR SHOW AT THE ORANGE COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS ON SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 27, IN THE "FOR SALE BY OWNER" BUILDING!

http://www.cruisinforacure.com/

Built September 30, 1998. Took delivery October 28, 1998. Original owner.

MILEAGE 36,531 (9/23)

Automatic transmission.

Only factory options are Active Handling System and fog lamps.

The car spent the first years of its life as a weekend cruiser until July 2005, when it was in a minor rear-end accident at a stop light. I had the car repaired at one of the premier body shops in Orange County (European Motor Car Works), where they also replaced the front and rear facias (Tecstar Tiger Shark), hood (Motor City Mold), and installed (non-functional) Breathless Performance rear brake ducts. Over the next few years, cosmetic mods to the engine compartment and interior, as well as many other appearance mods, transformed a stock C5 Corvette into a show car winning dozens of awards in shows in Southern California.

This car has only been used for gentle weekend cruising, car shows, and the occasional road trip. Never wrung out, never raced, always garage kept, waxed and covered. Any chips in the paint were filled promptly.

WHY I'M SELLING IT

It's been my dream car, but I've owned it for 16 years, and I'd like to move on to something new.

MAINTENANCE RECORDS

Nearly complete set of maintenance records available.

MAINTENANCE ISSUES

Brakes work fine, except for a little bit of pulsing when braking at slow speeds. Rotors possibly need turning.

Trunk release button on key fob doesn't work. Dashboard trunk release button works fine.

Occasionally, after about 45 min/1 hour, the ventilation system stops blowing air, although the fan keeps running. Usually, shutting the car off and restarting clears the problem.

MISCELLANEOUS

Suspension lowered on stock bolts.

Column lock bypass installed.

Originally equipped with a LoJack system. However, I've never had it serviced or inspected.

Checked regularly for OBD codes. Hasn't thrown a code in the 5 years I've been checking.
