Default I got a bait and switch at Carlisle

At 8 am Friday morning I spotted a wind breaker for a C6 on a front table at West Coast Corvettes with a sign that said
"Special - C6 Wind Breaker $300. For '05 Convertibles.
By 2:30 I went back to buy one and "Paul" tried to sell it to me for $367 (and that was a dealer discount). I told him about the sign and he went over to the display, ripped the WCC printed sign apart and said "I am not going to sell them for that price".
If it was a price mistake how did it go unnoticed all day without a least one other vert owner wanting one? I would have expected this at a lessor supplier but not at West Coast Corvette. I'll shop elsewhere for now on.

What a crock of That is actually illegal...you have to sell for the price on the sign/sticker. He should have sold to you THEN ripped it up. I'd call the manager....good luck.

I did tell Paul I was a CF member and he acted as though he could care-less! Any other business would have honored that price then changed the sign - that's why I think it was a bait-and-switch. As for talking to the manager, I thought he was one.
The loss is on WCC because I lent my vert to Complete Dreams two booths down the row so they may show mods of all types. I would have installed it on the spot and they (WCC) or Complete Dreams would have made other sales. WCC did no favor for Complete Dreams which BTW, is a FC sponsor/supplier.

Well, I have bought a couple of mods from them (West Coast)...but guess I will not anymore...tell them about the power of the Corvette Forum ....and then kiss them because they just got f**ked.

That really sucks! I was thinking about buying of those also. Your LB vert is sweet!

I just removed them from my "Favorites" list. If they wont take care of FM's then I'll shop elsewhere.

Stupid! Not too business savy to screw a Forum Member!

I have bought all my parts from West Coast Corvettes since 1998, for my 98, 00, 02 and now my 05 and have always been more than happy with them, so before everybody starts bashing Paul...lets wait to hear his side of the story, which will take a few days because they are still in Carlisle. I'm not saying this is right or wrong or true or false.....just be fair and give him a chance to let us know what happened.

I too have dealt with WCC many times on my C5, and looking for several items for the C6. I prefer to deal with Craig or Neal, and hope they will respond in Paul's absence.

I didn't kick-up a fuss because I wasn't going to let one bad deal ruin an otherwise great experience at Carlisle! It will be interesting to see what if any responce I'll get from WCC.

I guess Complete Dreams is going to get alot more business. Any CF Vendor that knows he is dealing with a CF Member & treats them like that should be ashamed of themselves. IBTL

not exactly. the law is a bit more complex than that. but customer service should have dictated that he at least sell it to this guy for that price.
