So what you supposed to do, install the hood raw and drive around for a month to see if it De-laminates before you paint it?

I was looking at that hood also, sorry to hear your troubles.

I guess so. If I would have known what I know now, that is what I would have done.

I bought this hood a month or so ago and have the same issues with fitment and quality. Thing is, there were some posts with pictures on how great the hood is. I feel like I have wasted my money.

How did you or did you, fix the issue with the front being lower than the front fascia? I have the exact same problem. It is a good thing I kept my stock hood. I may be putting it back on.

Wow didnt realize several people had problems. Quite a few of these hoods sold with there being 3 GP's. Only thing I can think of is there must have been a bad batch?? can you post pics of the fitment? (not calling you a liar or anything) im just curious to see how bad it s as mine fits great. sorry to hear you guys are having problems

I had that problem too due to it being so light and flexible. Took one of the hood struts off and and it works perfect.
I had this same problem on another car when I put on a carbon fiber trunk. Had to take off one of the tension bars because it was so light.

Well, that helped me make up my mind. Thanks for the post, looks like the money will go into the motor. Could you PM me the vendor just to make sure it is who I think it is?

Sucks I am glad I read this thread I was fixing to buy a hood splitter and skirts all in carbon when they became available from him. Now that i look back I winder why it is always "My manufacturer" instead of the company making the parts. This is not the first thread I have read about this but I have also read many stating how good the quality is.

its not uncommon that guys like this (be it him or his manufacturer) come along and kick out several great parts, get the word out, and then kick out a bunch of shoddy parts. some do it cus they're just rushed for new orders, but if that was the case, i doubt this guy would keep pushing for new sales.

Don't paint it.
See if it fits & not warped, too high/low in areas, gel coat cracks, etc.

Even if it does fit, I wouldn't be in a hurry to have it painted.
Let the sun & father time etc, have a chance at it, before spending
MORE $$ painting $$
