Default Need to Hear from TKO Performance

So after talking to one of the mods I decided to post this to see if I could get any answer from TKO. Beginning of February I ordered the combo package of center console shifter trim and gauge cluster $425. They charge the core charges right away. February 27 I emailed to check on the order and did not get a response, so I posted a message on their forum page asking them to check their email. Ed responded saying he never got it and to resend. I did. No reply again. So I waited a couple of days and sent another email and then finally called. No answer. Called again the following Tuesday, no answer. Finally got in touch the next day and Ed told me it was just shipping out now. Great! Week or so goes by..nothing. I call back, hmmm..let me check on it..I’ll call you right back. Never calls me back. The next day I receive the gauge cluster piece. (looks beautiful!) So I wait a week, expecting the rest any day..it never shows up. I call back. "Just went out the door you should see it any day now". Wait several days and nothing shows up. I put a hold on my Credit Card until I can get a straight answer and go out of town. While I’m gone They tried to charge the rest of the money and got declined..which was last week..so Ed calls me a few times a day for a few days. Laura at TKO emails me saying the order is ready but my CC isn’t working and they will be shipping it as soon as the card is approved. So I email her back with info to charge and it hits my account an hour or so later. This will be a week tomorrow. I have emailed her twice now asking for the tracking number with no response.

So I want to know..is it coming or not? Give me a tracking number. I sent back the gauge cluster the day after I received it and still have not received my core credit back ($175).

Oooh God! Your kidding right? U put a hold on your card? isn't that a bit excessive? You knew the other part was pending. Obviously its coming you got your first piece right? So why wouldn't the other parts come? Do you think he's just gonna take your money and run? Don't you think it will ship when its ready to go out?

Do a search..there's been a few threads over the last week of suddenly getting no response.

The first part was the cheapest..now the real money has been charged so I was only out a couple of hundred..now they have several hundred more..and I'm worried because every interaction has bordered on dishonest..not once have they told me they are running behind..or having problems..just oh..I'm handing to UPS guy rightttttt now (I'm being sarcastic of course). And the lack of replies to emails is disturbing.

Im sure the parts are coming....
As someone who does business with ED all the time, I wouldn't worry about it...

Look.. I had an extended wait on my order from TKO as well.. Placed on feb 11, and finally picked up in person first week In April. Ed is a good and honest guy IMO.. He's just oversold on this hydrocarbon stuff from what I can tell. There's no excuse for the difficulty in communications and I had some stalls with my calls as well, but I do trust him. It's one of those deals where if u think it will be 4 weeks, count on 8!

My car was naked in the interior for seven weeks! As I stripped out my parts to avoid the core charges. I was expecting winter to hit at some point in Feb but it never did. After about four weeks I was driving around with DIC switches clicked into an empty bezel area, starter switch hanging and no center console.

Moral of the story is the stuff came out great (post to follow soon) but it was an agonizing wait. Ed did his best to stay in touch and I did my best not to nag him too much but my patience was stretched after four weeks. There was a "redo" involved with some of my parts as well which didn't help. (came out funky according to Ed the first time)...

Keep the faith and enjoy the parts when you finally get them installed.. I might actually order a few more small pieces but I won't pull my parts next time..

I had much the same experience about 4 years ago - finally received the parts and they ARE beautiful but I had concerns secondary to the time commitments made and not met. Not unlike going to a busy restaurant - they tell you the wait is 20 minutes - ends up being an hour. Your meal is great - but would you go there again? I don't know.............I wish the vendors were 100% realistic and HONEST in their commitments. Just tell me the truth. The other vendor I've dealt with is RPI - they were AWESOME and actually beat all time commitments. I'd go back to them in a heartbeat.

There was a problem with one of the 2 items you order which is why we shipped one earlier then the other.
Your other (2nd) item shipped as promised. Due to arrive tomorrow.
Check you pm . Tracking# to prove it being pm'd to you.

I have dealt with Ed in the past. He is a great vendor to deal with and is honest. I know those hydrocarbon items take a while to get done, but are worth the wait from the ones that I have seen.

No one actually understands that Hydrocarbon is not a 5 minute process. They bitch and complain. Blah blah blah. Next time just order carbon fiber stick ons like another member posted a few days ago. Real fast turn around on that stick on crap.

You are missing the point. The complaints / concerns happen when the VENDOR provides an unrealistic or incorrect time assessment. It really is on the Vendor's side - not the consumer's. Just give the consumer a realistic time - then the consumer can make a decision based on facts and not "hope".

Received part today. I wish i had waited one more day, but if I'd known they were coming no thread would've been necessary. Also, Ed called me today to apologize and make sure everything was straight with the order. Sonds like they have so much business, they are a bit behind. The parts look awesome and I'm very happy with the way they turned out.

Thanks for all your input guys and help from the mods.
