This appears to be a classic example of why Corvetteforum requires site users to make all efforts to resolve any disputes (whether user vs. user, user vs. vendor or vendor vs. vendor) offline before posting about them online.

https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...-disputes.html

It’s been our experience and observation that using the site to sling arrows, sometimes as a means to apply pressure to get a desired result, typically draws third-party band-wagon posting and often serves only to get everybody’s back up. That gets in the way of any meaningful effort to find a resolution.

It’s worse when sale threads are hijacked as part of the campaign.

https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...le-thread.html

Then, when another supporting vendor takes advantage of the situation by joining the frey in an open thread the situation is further exacerbated since that’s in conflict with site rules as well. Quoting from the additional rules vendors must follow:

… you may not make any direct or indirect reference to the products or services offered by a rival vendor. Instead, we encourage you to use the Forum to market and promote the attributes of your offerings.
I don’t know whether we’ll be able to salvage anything from this situation, but I will remove the multiple posts and threads associated with this dispute which are in conflict with one or more of the above-referenced rules.

Then, I’ll ask the parties involved to make a genuine effort to resolve the issue offline. When there are updates, I’ll add them to this thread.

I've maintained contact with MotoJB and Jersey at APSISUS. Jersey asked that MotoJB contact him so they could try and work out the dispute. Jersey said he had several offers to propose to MotoJB.

MotoJB reports he has been on the road a lot because of his work, but has the offers made by Jersey and is reviewing them.

Updates to follow as I have them.

I've just heard from MotoJB. He says he's been out of the country, but will review the proposals made by APSISUSA to resolve his dispute and hopes to make a decision by the end of the week.

I'm looking into options that include:

- Repairing the seats he sent me myself (via a couple folks I've been put in contact with from bodyshops/custom car builders)
-Finding new/suitable cores here locally, so I can make sure they are 100% and do any fixes required before I send to him to have mine redone.

I should have an answer/plan within the next couple of weeks on which way to go.

Posting the following on behalf of Josh:

Jersey refused to offer what I firmly believe he should have (a 100% refund or at least the complete reimbursement of the $980 I paid him for the seat cores he "purchased on my behalf"), and instead insisted that I only had the following options available to me:

1) Eat half the cost of the cores plus cover the cost to supply new, suitable cores for him to redo the seats
2) Fix the seats myself (initially offered me a store credit, which later became a $500 offer)
3) Lawsuit

For option 1:
Leaves me eating 50% the cost for the original cores, PLUS the hassle/cost of finding and supplying replacement core seats...with no guarantee that the redone/refinished seats will be acceptable...so option 1 is out.

As for option 3:
I don't have the time/energy to put into a lawsuit with APSIS.

Back to option 2: a $500 reimbursement check from APSIS
That money will be used to have a local shop attempt to fix/repair the seats and clean them up into acceptable condition. The shop wants $700 plus parts to do it.

In the end, this will probably be cheapest and easiest solution for me, out of the options I was given.

For the record, I am by no means satisfied with the outcome with APSIS. I am simply salvaging it to the best of my ability.
