Default Anyone Had Problems with Wilcox Corvette?

Has anyone had issues getting a refund or getting their parts from Wilcox Corvette?

On August 11, I order a set of Spinners for my 65 and a few other items. I got the other items 10 days later, but the spinners were back ordered.

I called Tommy and he said they were due in Mid -OCTOBER, yes OCTOBER.

I asked for a refund and he/Tommy said it would be processed.

I am still waiting - its been over a month

When I called he/Tommy said he was busy processing orders - so I guess there is no time for customer service.

Others with similar issues?

Phil

If Tommy told you he was busy, he probably was. Good man. The problem may be on your end.

That's was my first thought but I called him again last Thursday he said he got my emails and would process it by the end of the day.

And today is Tuesday.

So I am wondering if there is problem there?

I had a problem with Wilcox on a return a couple years ago. I ordered a bunch of stuff including interior parts. I don't remember the order total but about $1200. One of the things I ordered was a carpet pad for the new carpet in the same order. I decided not to use the padding and got an ok to return it. I returned it but they lost it. It was signed for by a Wilcox employee and they acknowledged that. They still would not give me a credit unless they could find it. Took about two weeks, if memory serves, before they found and gave me my credit. The way I see it they received it, signed for it and lost it. Not my problem. Not a customer friendly experience. I also had a problem on another order where they entered the wrong credit card number. It happened to be a good number just not mine. The harassment I received from them was inexcusable for their error. I have not dealt with them since and nor will I again. Zip and Corvette America get my money. Great guys and great service.

Tom

My assumption was they were solid to deal with. I guess this is something they are funny about.

I went to Zip for the spinners and got them a day later. My concern is Wilcox will ship the spinners when they get back in stock in OCTOBER.

I hate to hear about this, my transactions and dealings with Willcox have been pretty good, I tend to throw them my support.

Willcox is one of the best!! Been dealing with them since the 70's and they try very hard to make their customers happy. If you have a problem with their service, contact Ernie directly. Forum technical is not the place to air an individual grievance. Most here I would guess would say they have had great dealings as well with them. Zip is also excellent, as well as CA who makes a lot of the stuff the other vendors sell. Pilot Dan

ps the spinners come from Corvette America and they wait till China produces them and there have been issues with the quality of the Chrome in recent years.

I didn't know there was an Ernie.

It's not a grievance, just a question like any other.

I did contact customer service - and followed the rules, how would I have found out about Ernie without posting a question.

Ernie Jr. took over the business from Ernie Sr. who I also dealt with (great guy) before he passed. This I can tell you first hand, both were/ are equally committed to excellent service. Your problem may have slipped through the cracks but it's NOT the norm by a long shot. Your problem was likely caused by a break in the parts supply chain due to foreign production gaps and quality. You would have gotten your parts from them as soon as they were available to everyone else.

Phil

I'll take a look at this tomorrow morning for you, and get this resolved immediately.

Sky65. Interesting, my records show a credit being issued to your credit card 05/11/09 for the amount of 137.08 invoice number 95955. It was issued to your card ending in 2512. If you'd like me to mail you a copy of this I'd be more than happy to do so.

Regards,

Ernie

Thank you but not necessary. As I said in my post I did get the credit but not until you all found the mat you all signed for and lost. That should not have been my problem.

I have never posted these experiences because it is really not my style. The OP's question and experience just opened up an old wound. My apologies to the forum.

Tom-

I misread your post and thought you didn't receive the credit. My goal is to fix issues when they happen....

I'm always available at support@willcoxcorvette.com

Phil-

I sent Tommy a text tonight and asked him if this was taken care of. He said that yes a credit was issued and he apologized for the delay. He did process it on Thursday as promised and it was submitted to your bank on Friday 9-12.

Thank you,

Ernie
