You should not use this vendor.
Action Auto Accessories
Found on eBay Corvette areas.
Here is the final letter I sent to them:
I ordered the item from you and paid full price; $161.96
You in turn placed an order on ACC. (American Car Craft)
ACC sent me the package direct. Maybe they gave you a discount?
ACC did not charge you any extra for shipping.
I returned the item to you in perfect condition. The reason should not matter.
You complained about me using the eBay return system.
I cancelled the eBay return via telephone to them.
You lied to me about ACC not accepting returns and I showed you where it says they do.
After I did that, you decided to charge me a 15% restocking charge.
$24.94
You added the restocking notice on your eBay site after you decided to charge me the restocking charge.
Now you have the item which I paid return shipping on.
The whole thing cost you nothing.
You made 15% of the original price for doing nothing. $24.94
Do you think eBay will look approvingly about this?
Do you think the Corvette community will look approvingly about this?
There was never any real answers given.
Action Auto Accessories said it was fair.
The item has been relisted on eBay.

I of course had contacted eBay and was waiting to hear back from them.
Today they (eBay) said that once the return procedure had been cancelled, it drops out of their system and they have no more recourse to the vendors account.
They said the vendor must have known this for it was just after I (like a fool) cancelled the return the vendor imposed a restocking charge.
I am out of luck it seems. eBay said they would send the vendor a letter of some sort.
This is posted as FYI only. I'm not looking for any action or sympathy. (Maybe a little bit.)

Keep in mind.....
You can leave" Negative" feedback for the vendor on eBay (bbaarrrryy) DBA "Action Auto Accessories".
You can provide an explaination for the "negative" feedback on eBay.
You can contact the eBay "Resolution Center" to complain and try to resolve any issues with them.
I have recently placed an order on eBay with the same vendor for the 2015 Corvette NPP Filler Plate.
Action Auto Accessories located in Scottsdale, Arizona does not stock that part. They are simply a seller of the part and the respective part is being shipped from Port Richey, Fl., currently via UPS.
So while the vendor may appear to stock a particular part, many small time sellers do not carry inventory. They simply place orders with the original manufacturer then have those items drop shipped to the eBay vendor customer, which is what I assumed happended to you.
This was the case with my recent order for the Race Ramp products. The vendor did not stock them, they took my order, charged me, then had the Race Ramp manufacturer ship the Race Ramp products directly to me. This process is not unusual by any means, as small time sellers can't afford to carry inventory in the hopes of a sale.

They don't do anything but place an order so what is with the restocking charge. He had me send it back to him, not ACC so he can sell it again directly with no additional costs.

He's bitching and moaning to people who can't help. There are people who can help. If he hasn't already contacted them, he should.
Your post was extremely helpful, too. Not.
