I'm picking up my C6 on Tuesday. The sales rep told me the wheels and tires were interchangable with the Z06 with no mods. Does anyone know if this is true?

I believe it to be not true.
They will bolt on but stick way out.
Stock C6 is
18x 8.5 with +56
19x10 with +79
C6 Z06 is
18x9.5 +49
19x12 +59

The wheel is 2" wider and +59 to +79 almost another inch.

Since the extra wheel width is split between both sides, then wouldn't the actual tire stick out about 1" more due to wheel width and 1" more due to offset for at total of 2" more than the normal 19x10 in the rear? The front should stick out about 1" or a little less?

Well, if you do the math with the backspacing.
(remember wheel actually 1" wider lip to lip)
The 19x 12 will stick out about 1 and 3/4" more.
