Default Slight shimmy on front end.

Recently purchase a 1984 in good shape but, had a bad shimmy on the front end around 60 mph. New wheels and tires were a great improvement. However, still if a hit a bump in the road at 55+ mph, I still experience a slight shimmy for a few seconds. Any thoughts? New shocks maybe? Loving my new C4, just have a few bugs to work out. Thanks for any suggestions.

i would take it in to get an all wheel alignment and if there is something in the front thats not good they will tell you. my vette tires take 30 psi and if they are at 32 psi or 28 psi it has a lil shimmy type thing going on but if they are at 30 psi its smooth as silk. could be something as easy as a wheel is out of balance. if its none of these problems i would check the tie rods. hope this helps.. keep us posted.
thanks chris.

Are the wheels hubcentric?

I think they are a lug centric wheels. I have the Performance Replicas 103 ZR 1 in a 17" wheel. Could that make a big difference?
