Default 1996 collectors edition tires

Good evening friends,

Recently purchased a beautiful corvette. Our first! Very excited.

The only thing needed is new tires. Any suggestions? Anyone looking to sell?

Thank you for all the help.

Try TireRack. I wouldn't be looking for used tires.

The stock wheels are 8.5 inch in the front and 9.5 inch in the rear with 255/45 17 up front and 285/40 17 in rear. The problem you have are very limited availability in the 285/40 17 size. I have 96 CE with 9.5 inch wheels on all four corners so I went with 275/40 17 Continental ExtremeContact DW tires. I put them on a week before the Caravan and put almost 1900 miles on them that week. They handled great on the highway were quiet and absorbed the joints with very little noise or bump. At 109 mph on the Kentucky Speedway they gripped well. During a the ride home we drove over 100 miles in the rain like the road was dry. Overall I am very pleased with the ride, handling, looks and price of them.

Just check the Continental Tire website the ExtremeContact DW tires are listed in the 255/45 17 and 285/40 17 sizes.
