Default Best clear coat?

I have stripped the scratched and scuffed clear coat off my SSR-GT7 wheels and am ready to clear coat them. Is there a better kind to use for wheels?

I don't know if they still make and or sell the stuff, but Busch used to make a clear coated wheel refinishing kit. I used to see it in either Eckler's or Mid America's catalog.

Something else you might want to consider is a product called 'ProtectaClear'. I have a GMC 4x4 for a winter DD. I put a new set of wheels on it 2 years ago, coated the wheels with this stuff, and even after two years of road salt exposure, they still look good....

I saw a different brand at AutoZone specifically for wheels, so I may try that or just go with Duplicolor. Don't drive car in rain/snow so it doesn't have to be heavy duty.

Thanks.

Trust me, the ProtectaClear is far from "heavy duty". It's a clear liquid you apply with a cloth, just like it was wax....
