Default Car pulls to the right

My car is a c7 base corvette.

I have pilot sport non run flats. I've gotten the car aligned by someone who knows what they are doing and the car still slightly pulls to the right. I've had cars in the past to are perfectly aligned. Is there anything I can do about this? I'd appreciate your help. Thx.

If you have the tools, temporarily swap your front tires, side to side, and see if the "pull" goes away. There have been instances where tires aren't manufactured quite right, or you've hit a pothole and damaged a belt, and the car develops what is known as "radial pull".

Can you post your alignment specs?

I talked on the phone with the guy that did my alignment and he admitted that he did not know what he was doing. He said that he realized after I lect that tgere is a rear caster that needs to be adjusted with the c7. He says that no other cars he has done are like that. He then suggested that maybe someone ran into my back wheel cause it was hard to move something. I got the car with 6,500 miles so I did a Vargas and nothing is reported. I heard the previous owner barley drove it and you can see he took the car in for all the required services so I doubt it was wrecked. I think I'll find someone that knows for sure how to align my vette. What kills me is a reputable after market vette shop recommended him.

I should of asked for his final numbers. But not sure if they would of shown if the rear tires caster was set. I'm not super mechanically inclined.

As much as I hate to say this, you might try taking the car to a Chevy dealer, as I would HOPE they know how to align a fairly new Chevrolet....

Yeah. I think I might do that. There is one other place I could take it. They charge $175. That's probably about what the dealer charges.

The rear caster is minute. After all no other year corvette has ever had a rear caster. I just looked at the sticky i created with all year alignment specs and it doesn't show a caster number.

I would really like to see the after specs. Camber should be even on both sides with caster about 0.30 higher on right versus left.

Does it pull under acceleration/and or deceleration? A bad shock can cause the same symptom, also. If it still pulls after realignment you may look at these areas.

Default Thx.

I got it aligned again and it is pretty good. It handles a little different than most cars because of the large 265 up front I think but if I'm on a straight road and let the steering wheel go it'll go straight for a long distance. I'm good now. But Thx for the reply.

so what changed between 2000 and 2001? also, why does zo6 have more camber?

btw, i cant see how alignment will make the car pull to one side, as long as its not really messed up. unless the steering wheel is off and you hold it straight. why more castor on the right? i thought it should be less, because of the shape of the road.

You'll have to ask gm why the change.

Z06 is more track oriented. So it gets a more aggressive alignment.

It has to do with road crown when I say to make the caster higher on the right side. Doing so pushes the car left to offset the right downward lean of the road.

If all alignment angles were even, the car would drift right due to the crown of the roads. Now in countries that drive on the left side you would want caster higher on the left.

i always thought less caster on the right, which results in less camber in a left turn, just because of the crown of the road.

what am i missing?

You are only thinking of turning. I am referring to driving straight which is most of all driving.
