Interesting Tire Pressure discussion
I took my car this morning to get aligned at a very respectable place I have been going to for years. I just had drag radials installed on the back. Fronts are still the OEM GY Run flats, its a 2013 Grand Sport.
Went with the Pfadt alignment, but when I was leaving, the gentleman recommended I run the tire pressure at 38 cold. He said it will help considerably with longetivity and wont affect handling/traction. He said to try it, nothing to lose.
I thought this was odd, since I usually run the tires at 30 psi cold, as Chevy recommends. Not sure if anyone else runs this tires pressure?
Anyone have any thoughts on this. Normally I would tell the person ok and not even bother, but this guy is pretty respectable in my area and I have been going to him for years.
Im interested to what other people think. In my case, I dont want to sacrifice traction for longetivity, so I am going to go back to running 30 psi cold, but just curious.

The higher pressure can cause some additional wear in the middle of the tires. Possible less tire patch contact on the outer edges. Id stay at 30 psi.
On a side note, what pfadt specs did you use?

I used the Pfadt street settings you can find all over these forums.
Front camber between -0.7 to -0.9
Caster between 7.5 to 8.5
Toe -1/16 inch to 0
Rear camber between -0.4 to -0.6
Toe -1/16 inch to 0
Front camber between -0.7 to -0.9
Caster between 7.5 to 8.5
Toe -1/16 inch to 0
Rear camber between -0.4 to -0.6
Toe -1/16 inch to 0

i also hope you and the alignment person read the top explaining that -1/16" Negative toe measurements indicate toe-in. retarded imo. why not just not put the - sign so as not to confuse people.

Yeah i went performance street.
Not sure about the toe, i gave him the sheet and he set it up, but he says he does corvette's all the time, and I trust this guy, so I am sure its set up correctly, the toe that is.
I think the camber for the front ended at -0.6 and rear at -0.4
