Default Tire help?

What are a nice set of rear tires that will stick to the street and handle decently ? I know i need DR's but most are not great for handling or highway speeds and I have plenty of HP so no tire is going to be great but something better is needed!

I've driven at highways speeds wth nitto 555r and bfgoodrich many times. To me, they handle just fine. You could allways use an autocross/road race tire like the 555r II or toyo r888. I've driven daily on the r888.

Tracton is great. I'm only 317 rwhp. Previous owner of my car autocrossed. I drove on them everyday rain or shine. Even at 3/32 no slipping in rain at 45 to 50 mph. Never did a birnout at the dragstrip either to hook up. I'm sure at a higher level a burnout would be needed.

I may try the R888's seems like lots of guys like them and they are about a happy medium on the street i will most likey have to keep the twins turned down anyways to get any kind of traction! What a good front tire to run with the 888's?

Default I am also looking for a good tire....

I am also looking for a good tire that I can do a few HPDE events with this summer on a 3klm road track. I will be driving to them, and will be daily driving all summer on the same tires. I am running Khumo Ecsta ast at the moment on my stock c4 rims. for city and hiway 'spirited' driving they are actually amazing. rain doesn't faze them.

But I am not too sure on how these will handle when heated up on a road track and doing 10 laps. I am tempted to just take these khumos up and see how they do.

You might want to consider a treaded r-compound tire like the Pilot Sport Cup or the Toyo Proxes R888

Yea i think i may do the 305/35/18 R888's and try and change my wheels to 11"
Anyone have that combo to measure the section width just wondering if they are true to form like the website states 12.4" on a 11" wheel?

here is the 305/35-18 r888 on a c6 z06 wheel that is 10.5" wide. back when i had them. you might can see, but the tread actually was past the rim width slightly. easily 11" of tread.

I have all those details from their website but i want real world measurements many of these tire brand vary quite a bit in width which could cuase me a rubbing issue.

I did change my wheels to 11" which adds a little to the width i'm just really trying to see what brands run true and which ones dont because i did not leave much room for error!
