Hi, wanted to know if the setup below would cause any issues on an 1988 C4 i.e. speedometer, rubbing, sticking out too far:

(front) 17 x 9.5 w/ 275-40-17 tires
(rear) 18 x 10.5 w/ 285-35-18 tires

With a 275/40/17 & a 285/35/18 combo, your front tires will be taller than the rears and will look awful. The correct sizes are a 265/40/17 & 295/35/18. They fit fine and do not stick out or rub. The only problem is the 265 fronts are somewhat hard to find. 275s are not too bad with the 295s, but don't look as good as the 265s as their sidewall is a bit taller than the 295s. I've had both on my front.

I'm just a little concerned about running the 265 which is narrower than stock....stock being 275. Is there a noticeable difference between the 265 or 275 up front with the 295/35/18's in the rear.

Really not much difference...265/295 combo is stock for C-5 Z06.
