Default HPDE cheep wheels for a C7

What wheels/tire combo are your all running for track days?

I is it safe to drop to 18's in the front and 19's in the back? More track tires are available in this size.

Thanks!

Here's the most likely setup:

Front, 18 x 9.5, 56mm to 52mm, 265/35-18 tire or 275/35-18 tire
Front, 19 x 9.5, 56mm to 52mm, 275/30-19 tire
Rear, 19 x 11, 79mm to 73mm, 305/30-19 tire

Some of those with 305/30-20 rear tires had rubbing when they lowered the car.

Cheap wheels ? There's a new Cray 2014 line in the above sizes but the 18" wheel is said not to work on the front of a C7 Z51.

Oz Superleggera III in those sizes are about $900 each. The C7 front wheels are listed as C5 wheels while the C7 rear wheels are listed as C6 rear wheels. Use a 3mm spacer with the 59mm front wheel to make 56mm.

Finspeed custom wheels start at about $900 each.

Forgestar custom wheels only makes those sizes in 19/20 and at about $500 each
.

I'd be a little cautious about putting "cheap" wheels on a track car.....

Actually cheap wheels work pretty well. Cheap gets you not so good looking and heavier wheels but they serve the purpose and hold up to the abuse well. You don't need fancy good looking wheels for track duty. You don't even need them to match except in weight and size.

According to Cray, the 18" wheels don't fit on a Z51, but Cajun@BER told me that he had installed some with no problem.

Any more data points out there?
