Michelin Pilot Super Sports cold weather cracking?
I'm close to pulling the trigger on a set of Michelin Pilot Super Sports but I've heard so much about cold temps cracking the sidewall on the new c7's which have the Sport Cup's and Super Sport ZP's.. I'm wondering if the Super Sports fall in the same category. I store my car winter long in a non heated/insulated and gets to about -30 max but the car never moves until it warms up in the spring. Wondering if they will be ok during storage??

Melting Slicks
I've had my super sports non zp in 20 degree temps and below. They've even been dug into snow in a snow storm and sat outside for a day or two in 15 degree temps. No cracks! I've had them for about 1.5-2 years now and 20k miles on them.

Thanks for the reply! Ordered them already about a week ago. How do you like them? I got the stock Goodyear eagle f1's now and they just don't connect.. I slide everywhere.

Amazingly....I've never tried the f1's. Carerra gt owners tell me their swap from the michelin ps2's to super sports was a life altering event in the good way. Much more feedback at the limit and more gradual breakaway characteristics
