Default 255/50/17 on 1968

From what I've read (8 inch wheels with 4.0 backspacing) there should be no problem in the rear. For the front its a 50/50 chance on rubbing?

If it does rub would it likely only be at full lock? Or could it be to the point that you could not use that combo on the front?

(prefer not to go to a 245 on the front)

Thanks!

I just put this size on the rear of my 75 . I have 17 by 8 with 4.5 backspacing . Was worried about this size for front as I have read rubbing may happen . I put 255/45/17 on front no rubbing . tires are Nitto 555 happy so far better grip than my old BFG Advantage TA .
