Default How to disable tire monitoring

I just bought some aftermarket wheels and tires that will be shipped to me, mounted and balanced. Doh! Forgot about the tire sensors. I still have my monitors on my stock wheels and tires, and I was going to sell them as is. I would love to have the monitoring system, but I've been driving for 45 years now just fine without them.

How do I turn off the system, so it won't drive me crazy if I don't install the tire monitors?

I'm seeing in some forums that starting in 2001, a Tech Tool ll will turn the system off. Still waiting for confirmation.
