C6 polished wheels
Question for everyone. Found a set of polished oem c6 rims for my c5. Clear coat is peeling in a couple spots. Has anyone ever stripped the clear coat off and polished the rims. Then not re clear coated? Would it hurt them if I kept them polished?

I had some wheels I did that to on the lip. I spent hours polishing them to a mirror shine using progressively higher steel wool. They corroded pretty quickly from what I remember.
I would clear coat them to be safe.
