That was pretty interesting. What really holds me back from winter driving is the salt on the roads. It has to do damage to the vehicle, and snow tires won't take that away.

I've been fortunate enough to have been able to afford a "nice" car for the summer, and something else, for the winter, for a number of years. Although corrosion protection in cars has come a LONG way, since I first started driving, there's no question that road salt will kill a car, over time.
