I saw a Doug Ripey C5 at the 2003 1 Lap of America (driven by John Boos) with 335's and it wasn't tubbed but, during the competition he hit a pot hole on I80 and the tire hit the fender hard enough to shatter the rear quarter panel so, I would say an emphatic NO

John at CCW has a package that gets you 335s. I have them and we had to put a 1/4 inch spacer. I am now getting the Lingenfelter mini-tubs so they will fit under and give the flexibility to go to 345/355

They are about 850-900 plus installation. I'm having ECS do it for me.

You can check it out at LPE website.

I had 335's on mine with John's CCW's and my car is pretty low with no problems. The only reason I got rid of them is I wanted 20's

There is a write up somewhere on homemade tubbing on a C5. Do a Google search and you will probably find it. Cost a LOT less than 900 notes...
