Movie What Corvetteforum Members Say
King of the Mountain "It has Dennis Hopper driving a Stingray I believe racing an older Porsche... had some pretty good scenes in it."
LeMans "Probably the best racing movie of all time. Featured Steve McQueen driving a Porsche 917. He also drives an early 911S in the beginning."
No Mans Land "Charlie Sheen (lots of porsche's)"
Redline 7000 "Luv the Daytona Cobra Coupe and some seriously bad acting"
Ronin

"Saw the movie, noticed the 4 wheel drifting and perfect apexing then found out they had hired F-1 drivers to add realism. It shows and it's awesome to watch what they can do with sedans."

"I'm glad someone mentioned Ronin. Wasn't a hot rod movie, but it had the best car chase scenes that I've ever seen. There was like 30 or 40 minutes in that movie of nothing but car chases. No talking during them, nothing but crazy driving all over Europe. I'm not surprised that those were F1 drivers doing the stunts, it was incredible."

"I'll second that. Ronin is not a hotrod movie but does have the best driving sequences I have ever seen. I haven't seen Bullit yet, but I keep hearing references on DVD sites that Bullit and Ronin take the cake as the best of all time. Will have to rent or buy it. I have the DVD for Ronin and it is very good. Crystal clear, highly recommended. Of course, no Vettes, only Euro sport sedans, but thats alright."

"Yeah, Ronin was cool. A Mercedes 6.9 and an Audi A8, own them both. Great taste, awesome cars!"

Route 66 "It's not a movie, but the old "Route 66" series (is my age showing?) certainly did a lot for my psyche."
Smokey and the Bandit I&II "79 TA"
Two Lane Blacktop

"Blown 454 1955 Chevy BelAir vs 1970 455 GTO Judge"

"I think it was a tunnel rammed big block 55 chevy driven by James Taylor vs 70 GTO driven by Warren Oates."

"Two Lane Blacktop was great, but the 55 was tunnel rammed, not blown. In 71 when the movie was made the car ran a 10.90@127 pass!"

The original Vanishing Point

"Did you know they wrecked a Camaro in Vanishing Point in the end instead of the Challanger. "

"1970 Hemi Challenger vs cops all over"

"Arguably one of the two best car/chase scene movies ever! (along with Bullitt)"

The Wraith "with Charlie Sheen in a very awesome car."
