1975 L48 Convertible all black with a red interior. Looked like a Bubbamobile with a Mr Gasket scoop sticking out of the hood, a fake roll bar, weird exhaust tips and the back end jacked up when I bought it. Had a 545 horsepower 406 with another 150 horse of nitrous though.
Putting on front Pace Car spoiler, L88 Hood with functional air chamber.
Engine/Drivetrain Modifications:
I am removing the 545 HP 406 and putting my more powerful 406 in it with my Art Carr 700R4. Mods below:
406", Ported Brodix -10 Heads 225cc, 2.100"/1.600" valves, 11.8 to 1, Ross Ultralight Pistons, Custom Solid Roller, 650/609 lift 248/252 dur 110 LSA, Comp 1.6 in./1.5 ex. Extreme Gold Rockers, 7/16 Studs, Stud Girdle, heavily modified Victor Jr., Modded BG 750 Holley DP (over 850 cfm ), Jet Hot Coated Hooker Super Comp Headers, 3" Mandrel Bent X Pipe Exhaust with Dual Chamber Mufflers, Art Carr 700R4, 3500 stall lock-up, Super 10 4.11 posi.
Suspension Modifications:
All poly bushings with Steeroids rack and pinion, 550 pound springs up front and tubular A arms, spreader bar, Hydroboost brake booster with cross drilled and slotted rotors,360 pound glass spring in rear, Offset Trailing Arms, Tom's spindles and Nitrous ready 3.5" half shafts, Smart Struts with Heim ends, Bilstien Sport shocks, I have several different sway bars to tune it in.
Wheels/Tires Modifications:
265/40/18 F1, 285/40/18 F1 Goodyears on Vision Legacy 5 spoke.
Interior/Exterior Modifications:
Stock original red interior in excellent shape. Smaller black leather covered steering wheel.
Putting on front Pace Car spoiler, L88 Hood with functional air chamber rear 80-82 bumper.
Future Modifications:
In the process of getting rid of the Bubba mods and fitting a new L88 hood with fresh air chamber, a new 78 Pace Car front spoiler and a rear deck without fake roll bar. The engine and tranny from my 80 are going in, and all the suspension parts list above.
