1. Drivetrain Issues and Rampant Sarcasm

This thread began like thousands of others, with a simple question regarding a grinding noise and some vibrations. But while many attempted to help, this inquiry also brought out the grammar Nazi's and boatloads of sarcasm. Some even accuse the O.P. of trolling. It's hard to blame them since a car that only has 20,000 miles on the odometer shouldn't suffer from such problems. But it turns out that the car has a bit of a drag racing history, and might have possibly had an engine replacement already. Just another solid reminder to carefully inspect any used car before you buy it.

2. C8 Mid-Engine Madness

If it feels like we've been talking about a mid-engine Corvette forever, it's because we have. And you won't have a hard time finding discussions on the topic in the forums because the topic pretty much dominates the C8 discussion forum. In this highly entertaining thread, you've got folks who are convinced that Chevy will build nothing but mid-engined C8s and those who are convinced that Chevy will build both a traditional front engine Corvette along with a mid-mounted one. Things quickly escalate, as they always do, especially when you're talking about a major break with tradition.

3. C7 Renders C6 Obsolete?

It's hard to believe that any automaker would claim that the newest version of one of their cars would ever be inferior to its predecessor. So the starter for this thread, a claim that the C7 Corvette makes the C6 obsolete, is one of those "Captain Obvious" moments that makes for fantastic follow up comments. And boy are they ever. In addition to the humor, several commenters rightly point out that it's not the best way to endear C6 owners or move unsold inventory off your dealer lots.

4. Black Wheel Haters

You'll find them on every thread of every forum on the planet. They troll social media, commenting every single time somebody posts a picture of their pride and joy. We'll simply call them "Black Wheel Haters," a group of folks who just don't care for the look and for some reason has to share their opinions with the world. Over and over. So, of course, this thread turns into a flame war that eventually resulted in it being closed because does this really even warrant a debate? Like most things in life, we all have different tastes. Don't like 'em, don't buy 'em, and quit beating the dead horse.

5. The Spoils of Being a Corvette Owner

Like most folks who own an iconic ride like the Corvette, we sure do get some dumb questions from time to time. That's why a thread that calls out these folks makes perfect sense. And the responses are quite frank and hilarious. From the inevitable questions about compensating for other things to mid-life crises to endless offers to race, these wonderful conversations are just one additional quirk of owning a Corvette.
