The home of stars

Genovation brought two prototypes to Tinseltown for the LA Auto Show. The C7 based all-electric supercar boasts 800 horsepower and over 700 lb-ft of torque from cutting-edge batteries, inverters, and twin electric motors. The EV Corvette is the first road legal EV to hit 209 mph and holds the Guinness World Record for running the standing mile at 190 mph. While those speeds are crazy fast, Genovation claims that the GXE can actually hit a top speed of 220 mph with a 0-60 time of less than 3 seconds.

It's the Corvette that's not a Corvette

“We’re excited to continue the momentum we’ve established with our participation at the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show,” remarked Andrew Saul, CEO of Genovation Cars, Inc. “The GXE has received a very positive response wherever we’ve shown the car and we expect that momentum to continue with our debut in LA. As one of the premier shows in the world, we anticipate our GXE will impress the audience of car enthusiasts coming from a truly international audience.”

Lots of well-heeled potential customers

“Presenting the GXE at the LA Auto Show places our product in front of audiences that appreciate both bespoke and high-tech performance automobiles,” said John Hill, Director of Sales and Marketing for Genovation Cars Inc. World-class components and custom exterior and interior options, as well as optimized chassis dynamics, are some of the features of our all-electric supercar. Discussions are now taking place with a number of prospects interested in purchasing their personalized GXE. We’re looking forward to presenting the car in Los Angeles.”

Electric fury

The GXE is designed, developed and produced right here in the United States. Its 50/50 weight distribution and a low center of gravity come from the positioning of electric components and battery packs. In an effort to make the electric Corvette more of a thrilling driver's car, the engineers at Genovation have designed the GXE with two transmission options: a 7-speed manual and an 8-speed automatic with paddle shifters. The GXE will reportedly cover 175 miles on a single charge but that distance will drop with aggressive throttle usage. We wonder if anyone will be able to get the most of their GXE without winding out 800 horsepower?

Not too shabby

The GXE comes with an active programmable suspension, carbon ceramic brakes, carbon fiber wheels, and active aero. On the interior, there is a 10-speaker JBL stereo, a 10.4-inch touchscreen, and a custom interior.

These cars are amazing and we hope that GM takes notice and delivers some sort of hybrid powerplant to the Corvette line to supplement a gasoline engine. Only 75 of these vehicles are slated to be produced with deliveries starting in mid-2019.
