Genovation's electric Chevrolet Corvette hit a record-shattering speed of 186.8 mph on the runway of the NASA Shuttle Landing Facility at the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida, setting an all-time new record.

Thanks to 700 hp and 600-lb-ft of torque, Genovation's GXE all-electric Corvette can get up to 60 mph in three seconds. Now that's impressive to say the least. The electric Corvette achieved its new land speed record with help from its two electric motors that are powered by a 44kWh battery system.

A Big Price Tag
No one ever said performance or extreme speed are cheap. Speed enthusiasts will need to fork over up to $330,000 for this record-shattering car. If you currently own a Corvette C6 Z06, then you're in luck, because upgrading to the GXE will only cost you a mere $290,000. One word of caution when buying an extreme vehicle such as the GXE: Expect extreme envy from other motorists.
