2. Baldwin-Motion Mako shark

We all know about the 1961 Sting Ray Corvette concept car, appropriately painted in its signature mako shark blue fade, but do you know the Baldwin-Motion Mako Shark? This Mako was actually offered to buyers through the Baldwin-Motion shop, but only a handful are known to exist. The modifications to the body work are extensive, but the blue fade, with scalloped scale details, are what landed it on this list.

3. Chameleon

Z06 Corvette features a chameleon paint job that shifts colors as you walk by. Ford briefly offered paint like this on some of its production cars, but it is expensive to apply, so now you need to find a good custom shop if you want it. Corvettes never came like this from GM.

4. Hot tamale

1978 Corvette Stingray was modified for the late 70s flick, “Corvette Summer”. The body on this one was treated to every 1970s paint and body trick in the book.

7. Black matte

Not a fan of black matte on most things but do have to admit it looks awesome on this custom C6 Corvette, which was built by Speed Channel for the show “Chop, Cut, Rebuild”.

Some people only prefer painted flames to the recent crop of photo realistic wraps, but this C3 features a stylized flame job that slits the difference. That's hot.
