By the time all is said and done, the C7 may just go down as one of Chevy’s most award-winning cars ever. The latest honor is for Corvette’s LT1 Small Block 6.2L V8, which has been recognized as one of Ward’s 10 Best Engines for 2015.
This rant goes out to the group that has decided that buying the last-generation Z06 is the far-better investment than the new car, especially when you throw in a few performance modifications.
Hey, they don’t call it “Hollyweird” for nothing, which is why I guess these photos of the local L.A. phenomenon Angelyne in her pink C7 really shouldn’t surprise me at all. And yet, for some reason I still find them pretty damn bizarre.
The custom Corvette, recently showcased at the Essen Motor Show in Germany, was created by the German tuning company Prior Design. The modified C7 features a completely different front fascia with a carbon-fiber diffuser, carbon side skirts, widened wheel arches and Aristo forged wheels.
Within 48 hours of getting their hands on the new Z06, Vengeance Racing managed to get 660 RWHP and 663 RWTQ out of the car with only an additional pulley and a modified AFE cold-air intake.
