GM gives the 2023 Corvette a significant price bump across the board, with some options getting pricier, too.

It’s no secret that inflation the likes of which we haven’t seen in decades is ripping through the economy at the moment, making everything significantly more expensive. This includes cars, of course, which have reached record levels of pricing in both the used and new markets, with folks routinely flipping hotter models for profit. Thus, it shouldn’t really come as much of a surprise to learn that the 2023 Corvette is also getting a price increase, according to Corvette Blogger, though it is significant for a model that launched with a shocking sub-$60k price tag.

Those days are long gone, of course, as the 2023 Corvette 1LT Stingray coupe now starts out at $64,200 – not including a mandatory $1,395 destination charge, or $65,595 with it – which makes it $2,300 more expensive than the 2022 model. This increase also applies to every other trim level in the current Corvette lineup, with the 2LT starting at $70,595 sans destination charges and the 3LT coming in at $75,245.

Those that want a convertible aren’t immune to 2023 Corvette price increases either, as the drop top version of the mid-engine sports car now starts out at $70,795 for the 1LT, $77,595 for the 2LT, and  $82,245 for the 3LT, minus destination. Unfortunately, these aren’t the only price increases the Corvette is facing for the 2023 model year, either. In fact, the cost of quite a few options has gone up, too.

Those features include the Corvette’s GT2 Bucket Seats ($1,695), Personalized Interior Plaque ($295), Color Combo Override ($659), Front Lift ($2,595), Chrome Badges ($395), Black Exhaust Tips ($395), Custom Interior Trim and Seat Combination Override ($695), and color options including Brake Calipers ($695), Seat Belts ($495), and Stitching ($495).

“The MSRP of the 2023 Corvette Stingray coupe and convertible has increased effective June 13,” confirmed GM spokesperson Trevor Thompkins. “Customers with sold orders submitted prior to when the price increase became effective will not be impacted by the change. We monitor and adjust pricing on all our products regularly, and we’re confident the Corvette remains a winning formula of performance and attainability.”
