2023 Corvette Z06 Allocations Are Likely All Spoken For: Report

Another week has passed with zero allocations, which is concerning given the fact that retail order banks are set to close soon.

It’s not exactly a secret that the 2023 Corvette Z06 was one of the most highly anticipated new vehicle releases in years, nor the fact that demand has thus far outstripped supply by a massive margin. This has led to some shady tactics, dealer markups, and flippers making massive profits – at least in some instances. However, many are still patiently awaiting delivery of their new 2023 Corvette Z06 after having placed an order for one, not knowing when that might actually happen. Unfortunately for them, it seems as if 2023 Corvette Z06 allocations may have completely dried up already, according to Corvette Blogger.

March 23 was supposed to mark the arrival of yet another order cycle for the C8 Z06, but sadly, that date came and went with zero allocations available. That means there’s just one more order cycle left – set to begin on March 30 – before April 5 arrives, which is precisely when GM asked dealers to have their final customer orders submitted by.

Many believed that yesterday and next Thursday would mean that some allocations, at the very least, would be released, allowing a handful of order holders to secure their 2023 model year Z06, but now, that doesn’t seem very likely. If this week came and went without any allocations, that doesn’t necessarily mean that it will happen again next week, but it certainly does raise some doubt as to whether or not that will actually happen.

Unfortunately, no one really knows what’s going to happen over the next couple of weeks, making life a bit difficult for dealers and customers alike. GM previously informed dealers that stock order banks will remain open after the April 5 retail order deadline, meaning that at the very least, those with the means – or a friendly dealer that doesn’t charge markups – still have a chance to secure a new Z06 in that manner. Otherwise, they’ll have to look forward to the 2024 model year – or the rather pricey secondary market.
