Okay, insurance agencies will take a peek inside your wallet and grab whatever they can, but having a Corvette while in your younger years is an experience which is highly worthwhile, much like world travel, but with a V8.
Sure, it may seem counter intuitive to everything your parents tell you when shopping for a car, unless of course your parents are cool and have/like Corvettes. If they are of the more traditional type though, it may be a hurtle to overcome.
Power is as much of an intoxicant as a measure by which you are able to exercise self restraint. Learning that in your 20s gives you the ability to safely toy with more power, but also makes you respect those who have really big numbers. Why play around on the street in a Nissan Sentra when you can do that in a C5 Z06, or more recently, the ever-more reasonably priced C6 Z51? To the young dreamers out there, do it. I bought a higher HP RWD V8 coupe when I was in my 20s, and I have never looked back. It’s not a mid-life crisis. It’s a way of life.
