Up against a list of seasoned veterans, Corolla’s podium proves he’s got the bug for pro racing.

Taking on the Trans-Am race at Willow Springs Raceway, Adam was tasked with driving the GoShare Corvette from the Burton Racing stable. GoShare teamed with Burton late last year, and that partnership is off to a good start, given Carolla’s results.

The 40-lap race wasn’t without incident. There was a yellow flag that allowed Adam to catch up to a pack that had left him behind. He decided to just stick with the guy in front of him as a strategy, and it worked perfectly. It also opened up the opportunity to take that position away. Shown in the video above, you can see that exciting pass. Clean out-braking was good enough for Adam to get a spot on the podium.

Later, when talking about the race and getting the podium, Adam said, “It makes you think of nothing else for the entire time you’re in there.” He’d also joked about spinning during a warm-up, and how that affected his confidence during qualifying, and throughout the race.
