What Are Your Thoughts on Aftermarket C6 Badges?
The tale of a tail badge and the anal retentive car fans that noticed it.
It’s been a while since we had a “Is this badge tacky?” thread hit the front page. So let’s change that, shall we?
David Petty posted up in the C6 forum to ask if we thought the modification to his Corvette was tacky, but he didn’t tell us what the mod was. In his words, if we couldn’t notice the mod, it must not be tacky. Despite being posted at two in the morning, it took folks less than 20 minutes to point out the Z51 badge. Now, we will get to an actual discussion about the tackiness of a badge change, but first we need to talk to David directly.
David, as you know, we are insanely dedicated to these cars here at Corvette Forum, and most of us know everything about them. We have many members who can point out something as small as 1979 taillights on a 1981 Corvette. Of course we were going to notice a non-factory badge. Please don’t let us discourage you from making your Corvette look exactly the way you want, just because we noticed your change. We notice all the changes.

Now that we have that out of the way, it’s time for the community chime in. David wants some input, so let’s provide him with a bit of constructive criticism.
What do we really think about this particular modification? Please hit the poll down below so we can get some structured numbers for David to look at. And if you can, please make sure you jump into the forum thread and explain yourself a little bit, too. Do you like the badge, but dislike the placement? Are you anti-badge in general? Would you like it better in a different color? We think it would look a little bit better if it was just a touch lower on the bumper. It may just be the angle of the picture, but it doesn’t quite look like it lines up with the “Corvette” script indention on the right side.
Now, make your poll choice below, and then hit that forum thread to drop your in-depth thoughts.
