Are you feeling a bit groggy today as you try to fight through to get to the weekend? Well let me give you a little pick-me-up, courtesy of 650 angry American horses.

Automobile has been testing the new Z06, and they decided that with a supercharged 6.2-liter V8, the only sensible place to give it a good workout was at the Chuckwalla Valley Raceway.

What we see in the video below is more than three minutes of noise and action as the big red ‘Vette blasts around the track. Automobile’s Editor-at-Large Arthur St. Antoine is the man behind the wheel and he gives us a play-by-play of every corner and straightaway, as well the occasional check of the G-Meter.

The noise is great, the visuals are intense, and best yet, he’s driving a proper Z06 with three real pedals. From the sounds of it, he can really nail a good heel-toe downshift.

I’ll shut up and let you get to it. It’s only three and a bit minutes long, so you can watch it before your next scheduled meeting. Enjoy, and don’t forget that the weekend is just a day away.
