Best and Worst C8 Corvette Prices in America Right Now
While more C8 Corvette models are selling for MSRP, there are still some incredible dealer markups out there.
Back in June, we took a look across the U.S. to see just how C8 Corvette prices were fairing, and we discovered some amazingly large variances in the process. We found some cars selling at or just above MSRP, while others were listed with markups as high as $10,000 over sticker.
However, many months have passed, and now the 2021 Corvette is getting ready to enter production. So we wondered – has anything changed? Thus, we completed another exhaustive search, seeking out the best and worst C8 Corvette deals in America right now. And the results, well, they’re interesting to say the least.
Good Deal: Black 1LT C8 Corvette
When the C8 Corvette was revealed, people made a big deal about the fact that it featured a starting MSRP of under $60k. However, very few base model, zero-option cars exist, as we recently learned. This black 1LT for sale at Riverside Chevrolet is listed at that magical $59,995 price, however, which makes it a great deal for someone who wants to get behind the wheel of a C8 as cheaply as possible.
Bad Deal: Sebring Orange 3LT
While many dealers are selling C8s at MSRP these days, that isn’t the case with this Sebring Orange example up for grabs at Biggers Chevrolet. The dealer has this particular 3LT listed for sale for a whopping $119,995 – which is an incredible $24k over the original MSRP of $95,885. Even worse, the car has 1,550 miles on the clock, but is listed for sale as a new vehicle.
Good Deal: Arctic White 2LT
If you’re looking for something a bit more well-equipped, this Arctic White 2LT with an Adrenaline Red interior for sale at Palmetto Chevrolet is also selling at MSRP, with a reasonable price tag of $67,295. And since 2020 Corvette sales data shows that most people at least opted for the 2LT, we imagine this one won’t last long.
Bad Deal: Adrenaline Red 2LT Convertible
The C8 convertible is fairly new compared to the coupe, but that doesn’t excuse the ridiculous markup this 2LT is selling with over at Glendora Chevrolet. Sporting an MSRP of $94,000, the dealer is asking an incredible $124,000 for the car – which makes for a markup of $30k, the highest we could find in the country at the moment. Personally, we’ll just wait a few months and buy one at MSRP, thank you very much.
If one thing is clear from our most recent C8 Corvette price hunt, it’s that while some things have changed, others remain the same. There are more cars available at MSRP than there were six months ago, but a few greedy dealers are still looking to make big bucks from unsuspecting buyers, too.
