British Mag Autocar Says Corvette Scores a Win over Europe’s Best

The North American automotive press loves the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette as much as breathing fresh air after exiting a Porta Potty.

The European automotive press is just now getting its hands on the C7 Corvette, and the early results look promising.

In the video below, Autocar compares the Stingray to the Porsche 911 Carrera S, Jaguar F-TYPE V8 S, and Audi R8 4.2. While the Corvette’s competitive pricing bodes well for its Euro-market success, Autocar threw the low-price factor out the window, comparing all the sports cars as though they were the same price.

With its price advantage ignored, how does Autocar rate the Corvette against fierce competition from Europe? Well, when “USA 1, Europe 0” is part of the video’s title, you know the Europeans are about as chuffed with the C7 as we are.
