C7 Corvette Trim Levels Broken down by Dealer and Owner

If you’re looking for an extensive guide to C7 Corvette trim levels, this video breaks it all down for you.

Most of us know the differences in performance parts when you’re comparing the base C7 Corvette, the Z06, Grand Sport, and ZR1. But there are many, many more myriad differences between trim levels that you may not be aware of. We’re talking. of course, about the 1LT, 2LT, and 3LT. So who better to break all of this down for us than a guy that not only owns a C7 Corvette, but sells a whole bunch of them, too?

We’re talking, of course, about Chevy Dude. The YouTuber has already forged a reputation by being overly honest with us in his videos, even going so far as to reveal dealer tricks we should be on the lookout for. He prefaces this particular video by revealing that most dealers aren’t even interested in selling Corvettes because they carry very low commissions. But that doesn’t stop him from going the extra mile and learning these cars like the back of his hand.

One of the more interesting distinctions pointed out in this video are the differences between a Z51 and base model. “Looking at this car, it’s almost impossible to tell it’s a Z51 from the outside,” he points out. “With the exception of the rotors. They’re a smooth rotor, when you go to a Z51 car they become slotted like the Grand Sport. And inside the passenger air vent, it’s functional versus non-functional.”

Moving up to the 2LT will net you a bunch of interior upgrades. But the only exterior upgrade is the front camera system. Step up to the 3LT, and you net some additional options. Suede interior goodies, upgraded Napa leather, navigation, and the performance data recorder. So if you’re looking to get down to the nitty gritty in terms of which options you want, this video is a gold mine of information!
