C7 Corvette Z06: Still Awesome After One Year of Ownership

By -

YouTuber claims C7 Corvette Z06 is ‘literally is the best car I’ve ever driven.’

There’s nothing more exciting in life (at least to us) than that day we get to bring home a shiny new toy. For many of us, that toy in recent years has been the C7 Corvette. And for the most part, it’s safe to say that the vast majority of owners have been satisfied with that purchase.

But the newness of stuff like this tends to wear off quickly, as it does with anything. So it’s interesting to see if YouTuber HorsePower Obsessed is still pleased with his C7 Corvette Z06 purchase a full calendar year later.

At this point, a year in, you’ve got a pretty good idea of how reliable a car is, not to mention the quality of construction. But if you were expecting some sort of build up or drama in this review, you won’t find it. Right off the bat, there’s no denying our host’s enthusiasm for his ride.

“I have to be honest with you guys. This review, it’s not good. It’s freakin’ awesome! I love this car. Everything about the car is great. I have had no problems whatsoever with it.”

To be more specific, the guy’s C7 Corvette Z06 has been dead reliable. And it hasn’t exhibited any of the squeaks or rattles many other sporty rides bring to the table. “I never expected a car that was this performance-oriented to have as few problems as it’s had,” he notes.

Even more impressively, this car sports a number of mods. Granted, many of them are simply cosmetic, but there are a few performance bolt-ons as well. Likewise, after 6,000 miles, the interior and exterior have held up well with little visible wear.

If ever there was a good sales pitch for the C7 Corvette, this is it. “The only thing I can tell you is if you don’t have one, go buy one,” our host concludes. “Because it literally is the best car I’ve ever driven.”
